My mom wanted to treat me to an early birthday adventure... so we hit the road to the Land of the Red Rocks: Sedona!

Sedona is a funny place - its a riotous mix of hippies, new agers, retirees, tourist and just regular folks. You can find just about anything in Sedona, in any kind of price range. And even as its grown over the years, it maintains its "small town" sense. And, of course, its amazing natural beauty.

We took a Pink Jeep Tour while we were there. Pink Jeep Tours has been around for 60 years, or so, and they are a pretty "touristy" thing to do in Sedona, but neither of us had ever been on one.

It was super fun. Nothing too scary (although my mom would disagree with me on that) but a great, quick tour of some of the area around Sedona. The guide was also pretty knowledgeable about the geography of the area, which was fun.

A quick weekend, but fun and relaxing all the same.
